Environment
Habitat: tropical/subtropical dry broadleaf forest
Substrate: ground surface
WMT: 32.0
CMT: 26.0
MAP: 1000.0
Habitat comments: no details given, but presumably dense forest within a general cerrado environment because sampling was on the banks of the river and Säo Salvador do Tocantins, described in the same paper, also consists of riverbank samples and is described as "typical cerrado vegetation... where the vegetation forms a dense forest"
climate data are for Peixe Angical and are from Alencar et al. (2008, Journal of Vector Ecology)

Methods
Life forms: mosquitoes
Sites: 7
Sampling methods: no design, baited, other traps, hand capture
Sample size: 5492 individuals
Years: 2004 - 2006
Days: 70
Sampling comments: "Sampling was performed every two months for five consecutive days between February 2004-April 2006" (i.e., on 14 occasions) with apparent hand collection of "mosquitoes resting on vegetation and any specimen that was likely to have been attracted by the presence of humans. For the night collections, Shannon traps (Forattini 2002) with a 100-watt universal light were used and insects were captured while resting on the walls. Samplings were also performed using traps (Lard Can Trap) with animal bait (Gallus g. domesticus). The traps were installed at the tops of trees, about 7 m above ground level"
