Environment
Habitat: tropical/subtropical moist broadleaf forest
Protection: forest reserve
Substrate: lake bottom/stream bed
MAP: 2600.0
Habitat comments: "tall primary forest with a closed canopy"
Methods
Life forms: odonates
Sampling methods: no design,other nets
Sample size: 620 individuals
Years: 1995, 1996
Sampling comments: "Each sample area was divided into three sampling segments of equal length (upper, middle, lower). Three types of substrate were sampled: sand, litter, root. These are the most abundant and stable substrates of the stream bed. Six samples were taken monthly of each type of substrate totalling 216 samples for each stream. The sampler was a rectangular aquatic net (0.45 m x 0.29 m) with mesh of 1 mm2 , which was dragged over a surface of 0.25 m against the water flow" (counts are of larvae)
